Appalachia Summer Mission is a week of service opportunity for High School Students that provides hands-on experience in reaching out to community members in one of the region’s poorest areas, Wolfe County, Kentucky. We need College-Age Team Leaders who can be site leaders, group leaders and service leaders to the High School students. Areas of Service: Home Rehabilitation and Repair, Thrift Shop & Food Bank, The Good Shepherd Mission. Program Features: Team approach that promotes learning & acting together on justice and service, Live a week of simplicity with others in a community setting, Creative opportunities for leading prayer, Eucharist, developing compassion, Empower high-school students, enjoy fun, games, and laughter, Take in the natural beauty and rich culture of the Appalachian mountains.
